Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 August 2026

Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Knowly, you agree to these Terms of Service. Knowly is currently offered as a closed, invite-only beta — features, pricing, and these terms may change as the product develops.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a legally binding agreement to use Knowly, and you agree to provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account; tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

What Knowly is

Knowly is a platform that helps students discover and connect with independent creators/tutors, based on stated goals, interests, and profile information. Knowly itself does not provide tutoring, mentorship, or educational services — creators/tutors are independent individuals, not employees, agents, or representatives of Knowly.

Students

As a student using Knowly, you agree to:

  • provide accurate information in your profile and any requirement you post;
  • use the platform, and communicate with creators/tutors, respectfully and honestly;
  • understand that any tutoring session, its scheduling, its price, and its payment are arranged and settled directly between you and the creator/tutor, off the Knowly platform — Knowly is not a party to, and does not process payment for, that arrangement.

Creators / tutors

As a creator/tutor using Knowly, you agree to:

  • represent your skills, experience, education, and availability honestly in your profile;
  • act as an independent individual responsible for the services you offer and deliver — you are not an employee, agent, contractor, or representative of Knowly;
  • comply with applicable law in how you offer and deliver your own services.

No guarantee of outcomes

Knowly helps with discovery and connection, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any creator's claims, their availability, the quality of any session, a student's conduct or reliability, or any learning outcome. Users choose to interact with, and transact with, one another at their own discretion and risk.

Payments made through Knowly

Knowly directly processes payment for two things: Premium subscriptions and Knowly Coin purchases, both handled through our payment processor, Razorpay. The price shown to you at checkout is the price charged. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for how refunds and payment issues are handled.

Premium and Knowly Coins

A Premium subscription provides the benefits described on the plan you purchase, for the duration of that plan. Knowly Coins are a virtual credit usable only within the Knowly platform (for example, to unlock contact details or, for creators/tutors, to access leads or boost visibility). Coins have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are not transferable between accounts.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • provide false information, including false credentials or qualifications;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
  • attempt to circumvent platform security, rate limits, or access controls;
  • scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the platform;
  • harass, defraud, or attempt to defraud another user;
  • use the platform for any unlawful purpose.

Content you provide

You retain ownership of the profile information, reviews, and other content you submit to Knowly. By submitting it, you grant Knowly the right to display and use it on the platform for the purpose you submitted it for (for example, displaying your profile to other users, or a review you wrote next to the booking it refers to).

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, misuses the platform, or poses a risk to other users, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the issue. You may stop using Knowly at any time.

Service availability

Knowly is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis during this beta period. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the service.

Limitation of warranties and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knowly is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knowly and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any dispute, loss, or harm arising from interactions, arrangements, or payments between students and creators/tutors that occur outside the Knowly platform.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Knowly develops during and after the beta. Continued use of the platform after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
